Your email and username, the vouches, tips and photos you post, who you follow, messages you send in the app, and basic usage events that tell us which screens people actually use.

Location is only read while the app is open, and only to sort bars by distance and show you on the map. We do not track you in the background and we do not store a history of where you have been. You can decline the permission and still browse by neighborhood.

Photos you attach to a vouch are stored with that vouch. We read a photo’s capture location only to confirm it was taken at the bar, and we strip the rest of the camera metadata.

Public vouches are visible to anyone. Vouches you mark friends-only are visible only to people who follow you. Direct messages are visible only to you and the person you are messaging. Your friend list is not browsable by strangers.

Your taste profile is built from your own vouches and drink preferences. When you use Ask Vouch, your question and relevant bar data are sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. It is not used to train third-party models, and we never sell your data.

Only the services that run the app: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments, our email and push delivery providers, and Mapbox for maps. No advertisers, ever.

Push notifications are opt-in and can be turned off in your profile or your device settings at any time.

Delete your account from your profile and we remove your profile, vouches, photos and messages. Email hello@vouch.bar if you want a copy of your data first.
